When I asked what I was being called for, the office informed me that the Minister of Information of Puntland, Mahamoud Ceydiid Dirir, had filed a complaint against me. When I asked what the accusations were, the Attorney General’s office responded, ‘You will be given the written complaint. Come to the office at 11:00 AM,'” said journalist Hassan Haykal on his official Facebook page.

The Attorney General’s office informed Hassan Haykal that he would be summoned again if any further questions needed. Hassan Haykal is an experienced journalist with over 15 years in the field. The summon from the Attorney General’s office in Puntland appears to be an attempt to silence the media.
